Cronut Scalping Has Begun! Dedicated New York gourmands have been queing up at Dominique Ansel bakery for up to 90 minutes every morning to sample this trademarked delicacy, a donut-croissant hybrid. They sell out fast. So naturally, scalping had to happen.
This guy is asking $20 per Cronut (plus delivery) in Manhattan, $30 in Queens, $40 in Brooklyn. So five Cronuts will cost you $100 in Midtown, and $200 in King’s County. Kind of a steep upcharge to cross the river, non? Keep in mind that five is the max because the delivery guy will eat one himself (the proposed pickup was for this morning but we suppose we’ll see more of this).
So what say you world? Are scalped cronuts a BUY HOLD OR SELL?
